Duties & Responsibilities

Media Relations
• Write & Produce the Press related content, Press releases, editorials….
• Ensure hotel receives regular exposure in local and international media through print, radio and television
• Liaise with and GCVs international PR networkand the Corporate Communications Director
• Maintain regular contact with local media and keep up to date contact lists
• Encourage and create regular press release material highlighting new services, special promotions and the Unique Selling Propositions(USPs)of hotel
• Act as hotel spokesperson where appropriate
• Take responsibility for handling crisis communications component of crisis management
• Manage contracted Media Agencies (annual, monthly plan; press clipping, press trips…)

Advertising
• Implement the hotel’s annual local advertising plan and co-ordinate with the advertising agency on all matters related to creative and media planning
• Translate the requirements of the hotel (F&B, Rooms) into a comprehensive and specific advertising brief for the agency

Promotions
• Liaise with F&B and marketing departments to co-ordinate all hotel promotions and marketing drives
• Ensure all collaterals, advertising and press releases are printed and issued in time to secure coverage

Direct Marketing
• Maintain frequent contacts with hotel’s guests and clients through direct marketing activities
• To develop an overall direct marketing plan on an annual basis
• To establish, maintain and expand the hotel’s database (including community management)
• Together with other task force members, oversee and implement the marketing issues of the Guest Recognition Programme
• Manage the Social Media plan

GENERAL DUTIES
• Greet celebrities, overseas and local press and offer assistance as required throughout their stay
• Attend General Manager’s cocktail receptions, annual parties and other social functions
• Together with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager prepare the Marketing Plan
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the management from time to time

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Fluent English and Spanish language skills (written and spoken). Knowledge of German an advantage
• Good knowledge of the international, in particular the Britsh & German, media (daily newspapers, lifestyle and travel publications)
• Minimum 4 years experience in public relations/marcomms for a luxury high end product. Luxury Hotel experience an advantage
• Excellent communication, presentation, planning, organisational and social skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong knowledge of Social Medias (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube…)
• Computer skills (office, photoshop, movie marker, illustrator, web editors…)
• Attention to detail
• Good Business acumen
