Job Description
SO/ Sotogrande, a luxurious hotel located in the beautiful Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor Trainee to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in hospitality management and gain hands-on experience in supervising housekeeping operations.
- Assist in overseeing daily housekeeping activities and ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel
- Learn to coordinate and prioritize room assignments for the housekeeping staff
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens
- Participate in training sessions to develop supervisory skills and learn about hotel operations
- Assist in conducting room inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Support the housekeeping team in maintaining a safe and organized work environment
- Learn to address guest concerns and requests related to housekeeping services
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations
- Assist in implementing and maintaining housekeeping policies and procedures
- Contribute to the development of schedules and work plans for the housekeeping team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; education in hospitality management or a related field is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management abilities
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Basic knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Physical ability to perform tasks related to housekeeping duties
