About the role:  

 We are currently looking for a talented and dynamic LATAM Sales Manager based in Madrid to join our team, to promote and sell to Leisure and Group market in the geographic region of Mexico and LATAM representing Four Seasons Hotel Madrid.  

 

The purpose of this position is to uncover, prospect and secure Leisure and Group business, in accordance with the objectives established in the Marketing Plan and ensure that all sales quotas are met.  

 

What you will do:

  • Execute all sales efforts, including responding to general inquiries and client requests in a timely manner. Maintain an active trace/follow-up system on all personal sales calls. 

  • Actively solicit and book group and transient business from various sources of leads. 

  • Conduct all sales-related interactions with the highest level of professionalism, maintaining Four Seasons standards. 

  • Coordinate and confirm customer events, sales appointments, site visits, and Fam Trips. Develop creative and attractive presentations for potential clients. 

  • Develop and execute strategic projects for Mexico and LATAM to increase volume and profitability in both segments. 

  • Delegate property tours to meeting planners, travel agents, and potential clients, while maintaining clear communication with the Sales Team. Pre-plan special inspections, pre-planning trips, and program execution as needed. 

  • Collaborate with Conference Services and Catering to execute confirmed programs and ensure all stakeholders are fully informed for timely action. 

  • Negotiate contract terms to maximize profitability while meeting client needs. 

  • Utilize account management systems effectively, meeting Four Seasons standards, and maintain deep knowledge of local and regional competitors. 

  • Meet annual sales targets and ensure monthly sales activities are planned and achieved. 

  • Provide input on the marketing plan and budget. 

  • Promote and sell to group and leisure markets in the assigned region through direct client engagement, phone and in-person sales, trade shows, and networking events. 

  • Align group bookings and sales activities with transient demand to optimize RevPAR. 

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to achieve budgeted sales goals, 

 

What you bring:  

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in luxury hotel sales, ideally as a Sales Manager or in a similar role. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in virtual and in-person presentations. 

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Opera, and/or other CRM systems. 

  • Working knowledge of hotel operations and revenue management. 

  • Strong attention to detail and a service mindset tailored to high-expectation clients. 

  • Flexibility to work variable hours based on business needs, including travel. 

  • Independent judgment and discretion in decision-making, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately. 

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through on additional responsibilities assigned by leadership. 

  • A degree in Hospitality Management is preferred but not required with relevant experience.

Develop the market segment by executing strategies agreed with the Director of Sales. Maximise the Corporate Accounts rooms, groups, conference, and events revenue through pro-active specific sales actions. Planning and Organising: Develops and maintains excellent product knowledge (rooms, meeting spaces, and outlets) as well as maintains up to date customer records and keep updated the segment action plans and financial objectives monthly. Coordination of the hotel’s sales activities with the aim to generate optimal room occupancy and high accommodation, C&E and F&B sales and other revenues. Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary To work with Hotel Management and Directors to communicate changes in the local market conditions and provide effective and timely solutions to minimise any detrimental effects. Develops the Hotel Sales & Marketing Plan for the Corporate segment which accurately interprets the objectives of the business and uses this to communicate with, and to focus the teams and own efforts. Contributes to the development of regional sales and marketing initiatives recommending, implementing, and monitoring appropriate local activity. Pro-active Sales Approach: Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities, and by examining the hotel PMS and other systems. Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and sales & marketing plan. Develops key account plans, detailing objectives, timescales, and sales methods to support the defined accounts strategies. Make sure the local accounts are recontracted before the end of each year and the rates are activated in the systems. Executes and supports the administrative aspects of the contracting process (e.g. contract creations for Local Accounts, code creations if needed). Internal and External Relationships: Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
