Misión del puesto: se encarga de forma cualificada y responsable de la dirección, control y seguimiento del conjunto de tareas que se desarrollan en el departamento de cocina, incluida la preparación y el mantenimiento de los estándares de calidad; Debe organizar y supervisar el trabajo de todo el equipo de cocina, liderando con el ejemplo y promoviendo un buen ambiente de trabajo.

Funciones:

  • Asistir al jefe de cocina en sus funciones y cubrir su puesto en su ausencia.
  • Apoyo a la dirección, supervisión y planificación del conjunto de actividades del departamento de cocina definiendo objetivos y planificando estrategias.
  • Asistencia para la organización, coordinación y motivación de la plantilla a su cargo.
  • Preparar, confeccionar y presentar los productos de uso culinario.
  • Elaborar las especialidades más significativas y motivos decorativos.
  • Colaborar en la elaboración de menús y buffet, así como otras ofertas culinarias para banquetes y otros eventos.
  • Control y gestión de platos, la calidad de compras y almacén.
  • Asistencia en potenciar y promocionar la imagen del restaurante.
  • Colaborar en la realización y elaboración de los informes relacionados con la actividad, control de existencias y materias primas y pedidos de inventario.
  • Velar por el correcto funcionamiento de la maquinaria y utensilios de cocina, así como de las cámaras frigoríficas y su control de temperatura.
  • Velar por el correcto cumplimiento de la normativa sobre seguridad e higiene (APPCC) en el trabajo en las áreas que dependen de su departamento, promoviendo las acciones pertinentes.

Job Description What you’ll do… Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes in accordance with the standards set by the kitchen. Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service. Learn and apply various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and plating. Support the team in monitoring stock levels, ensuring proper storage, and minimizing waste. Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
