About the role:

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Front Desk Recepcionist to join our team. The Front Desk Receptionist welcomes guests to the property, providing an exceptional guest experience at check-in, during the guest’s stay and on departure. This role works to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction during their arrival and departure, plus responding to a wide variety of guest requests, assessing guest needs, adding personal recommendations, and aligning with Four Seasons service standards.

What you will do:

  • Checks in guest in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible.  Assures that guest is assigned type of room requested, credit or method of payment is established, the correct rate is charged and issues correct keys to the guest. 

  • Arranges for luggage to be delivered to guest room. 

  • Checks guest out of the hotel, preparing and explaining the bill. 

  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints; assists guests inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.  

  • Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. 

  • Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests. 

  • Resolves guest complaints, and find opportunities to recognize and personalize the service  experience for all guests. 

  • Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff.  Can answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Communications Operator.   

  • Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed. 

  • Maintain a balanced bank assigned by the hotel. Make change, cash checks and exchange foreign currency. Reconcile all transactions at the close of each shift. 

 

What you bring
  • At least 2 years of experience within the same or similar position with luxury hospitality. 

  • The ability to multi-task on several assignments at once. 

  • The ability to operate computer equipment and several other computer programs. 

  •  Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

  • Previous experience with OPERA PMS and HotSOS. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English. 

  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field. 

  • Guest centricity and understanding the importance of guest’s preferences.

¿Cuál será tu misión? Como Auxiliar de Recepcion turno noche serás el principal responsable de saludar y dar la bienvenida a todos los huéspedes del hotel y ayudarles con el equipaje a su llegada. Para ello es importante que en todo momento, se demuestren los más altos niveles de hospitalidad y que las peticiones de los huéspedes se atiendan de forma rápida y eficaz. ¿Qué tendrás que hacer? Saludar y asistir a los huéspedes que entran y salen del hotel. Crear un proceso sencillo y agradable actuando como persona de contacto accesible para los huéspedes. Asistir y proporcionar servicios de equipaje a los huéspedes del hotel (almacenamiento de equipaje, entrega en las habitaciones). Vigilar los equipajes u objetos no identificados en las instalaciones del hotel y recoger los objetos perdidos en caso de reclamación por parte de los huéspedes. Conocer y comunicar los servicios disponibles en el hotel y la información general sobre seguridad. Conocer y comunicar los lugares de interés de la ciudad, como restaurantes, museos y monumentos, facilitando indicaciones, recomendaciones y opciones de reserva. Vigilar a los visitantes no deseados o inadecuados en las instalaciones del hotel. Servir de apoyo tanto a los equipos de recepción como a los de relaciones con los huéspedes. Responder a las quejas y sugerencias de los huéspedes y, en caso de no poder resolverlas por sí mismo, remitirlas al equipo de recepción. ¿Qué buscamos? Se valorará la experiencia previa en hostelería. Título de bachillerato o formación equivalente. Imprescindible dominio del idioma local y muy valorable conocimientos de inglés. POSITION SUMMARY Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key. Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.
