Under the guidance of the Reservations Supervisor, you will be responsible for helping our guests with their individual reservations, advising them on the best option for their needs and supporting them with any issue they might have. Support the Director of Revenue Management in analyzing competitive sets, price positioning & future market need periods. Support and execute market-wide strategy and promotion implementation. Ensure reservation accuracy (segment, channel, routing, traces, etc.) Ensure that the hotel sales strategies are effectively implemented in the systems. Ongoing Revenue System health-checks and optimization. Handle all requests for guest room reservations, changes and cancellations in according with the established guidelines. Follow up on any possible fraudulent reservation that may impact the revenue performance. Ensures reservation accuracy (segment, channel, routings, traces, etc.). Handle no shows and control non-guaranteed reservations. Ensure that all distribution channels effectively support the hotel and maintain rate parity. Ensure that communication with other departments, especially Credit, Sales, Concierge and Front Desk and any other concerned department is maintained. Support and execute upselling following the established guidelines. Proactively communicates any potential challenges related to systems or reservations to ensure we provide outstanding intuitive service at all times. Qualifications What we are looking for...     What's the job? As Groups Coordinator you will coordinate the reservations, room blocks and contracts for large groups. You'll report to the Assistant Commercial Director & Commercial Director. Qualifications & Skills * Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field. * Previous +2 years' experience in group sales, event coordination, or hospitality sales, ideally within a luxury hotel environment. * Must be fluent in local language and English, additional languages will be highly valuable. * Experience with entertainment groups will be highly valuable. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Proactive, positive, energetic, dynamic, emphatic, team-worker and with passion for service. * Ability to work and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS/CRM, Opera, Delphi, or similar).     The Director of Sales is a key member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for defining, leading and executing the commercial strategy of Grand Hotel Central, a 5-star classic luxury property in the heart of Barcelona. The Director of Sales leads, coaches and develops the Sales, Reservations and Revenue teams, driving performance while maintaining the highest luxury service standards. This position plays a critical role in maximizing total hotel revenue, strengthening the hotel’s positioning within the luxury segment, increasing direct business contribution and ensuring sustainable long-term growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Commercial & Strategic Leadership Define and implement the overall Sales and Revenue strategy in line with hotel objectives, brand standards and market conditions. Lead the annual budgeting process, including rooms, F&B, MICE and ancillary revenues, with full ownership of forecasting and commercial KPIs. Actively monitor market trends, demand patterns, competitor set and distribution landscape to proactively adapt strategies. Ensure total alignment between Sales, Reservations, Revenue, Operations and Finance. Sales (Leisure, Corporate, Groups & Events) Oversee and drive all Sales activities across Leisure, Corporate, MICE and Events segments, ensuring achievement of budgeted revenues. Lead the proactive and reactive sales strategies, including key account management, prospecting, contracting and conversion. Maintain and develop relationships with luxury consortia, key travel partners, DMCs, corporate clients and event agencies. Support and guide the team in negotiations of high-value contracts, groups and events. Represent the hotel at selected trade shows, sales missions, workshops and key commercial events. Revenue Management & Distribution Oversee the Revenue Management strategy, ensuring optimal pricing, inventory control and channel mix. Work closely with the Revenue Manager and Reservations Manager to maximize RevPAR, ADR and GOP. Supervise distribution strategies across all channels (direct, OTA, consortia, wholesalers) ensuring rate parity and content accuracy. Lead regular forecast, revenue and business review meetings, providing strategic direction and clear action plans. Reservations Provide strategic oversight of the Reservations Department, ensuring efficient processes, high conversion rates and luxury service standards.
