    What's the job? As Food and Beverage Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the team, ensuring the service is on point and solving any issue reported by the team. Reports to the Food and Beverage Manager. Your day-to-day * Support the Food & Beverage Manager in any required task. * Manage beverage control including inventory, bar pars, costs controls, beverage potentials, mix of sales analysis for beverage, issue & returns and food standards. * Implement agreed upon beverage policy and procedures throughout the property. * Train staff on liquor control policies and procedures. * Monitor adherence to all liquor control policies and procedures. * Ensure Bar team provides excellent service and continually strives to exceed expectations. * Ensure service and other standards according to SOPs are adhered to. * Ensure cash handling procedures are followed and all stock items are managed. * Ensure that the Bar team is continually trained in product knowledge, all menus and Hotel initiatives. * Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards. * Oversee staff training and carry out on-the-job training where required. What we need from you * Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field. * Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management valuable. * 2+ years' experience working in Food and Beverage department as supervisor. * Must be fluent in local language and English, additional languages will be highly valuable. * Proactive, positive, energetic, dynamic, emphatic, team-worker and with passion for service. Under the guidance of the Head of F&B, you’ll be serving to our guests our delicious dishes and creative cocktails as well as thinking of new ways to improve our service and surprise our guests. Greet all guests warmly and by name, escort guests to their table, provide chair assistance for all guests, and menu presentation. Approach guest and collect information needed to assist with seat arrangements. Create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests come to wind down and enjoy themselves. To serve food and beverage orders according to recipes and service standards. To be knowledgeable about products available. Work with the rest of team in keeping things running smoothly and tidily, for both table and bar service. Qualifications What we are looking for... Possibility to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months. Currently enrolled in a bachelor´s or master´s program in Hospitality, or a related field. Availability to start as soon as possible. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.     Job Summary In this role, the Food and Beverage Trainee will be able to fully experience the various F&B outlets and event operations of Nobu Hotel Barcelona with a hands-on approach. After completing this program, the intern will have learned the operations behind a professional food and beverage department and will be fully immersed in the Nobu culture. Essential Functions: Displays a friendly and professional attitude at all times. Ensures alignment with the Nobu culture and Nobu operational standards. Maintains a good professional appearance complying with hotel’s grooming and uniform standards and behaves in a mature and proficient manner in and out of the workplace. Respects schedules and timeliness while being flexible based on business needs. Monitors and maintains cleanliness and working condition of departmental equipment, supplies and work areas. Learns and follows safety standards and emergency procedures. Promotes positive relations with guests, vendors and employees alike. Always promotes a can-do attitude to any guest requests and recognize that guest service and attention to detail is your top priority. Performs all other duties as directed by management that are consistent with the policies and procedures of the hotel. Other duties: Learn Nobu cuisine (different menus, ingredients for key Nobu dishes, cooking styles, etc) in order to flawlessly explain it to guests as needed. Learn floor plans of each outlet. Learn and execute shift opening and closing procedures. Prepare back and front of house areas for service. Provide service to guests in all aspects of food and beverage, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and events following Nobu standards. Provide a genuine greeting “Good afternoon/evening and welcome to Nobu or Irasshaimase”, and upon departure, thank them providing them with a genuine farewell. Attend and participate in all departmental meetings, training sessions and other information meetings as and when requested to do so.
