The Role of Server: The Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for servers to join our pre-opening team. This position is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Server position provides an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. Servers anticipate and service guests needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all available menu options, beverage lists and daily specials. The responsibilities for the position include: • Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner. • Having knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions. • Anticipates guest needs, offers suggestions and ascertains satisfaction. • Takes ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur. • Is highly sensitive to guest preferences; assists in compiling guest history; offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented. • Accurately posts guest checks, processes payments and adheres to related control procedures in a vigilant manner. • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations as well as the back-ofhouse areas. • Plate, prepare food & beverage items and serve as indicated in the Standards Training Manual. Our Ideal Server will have: We are looking for individuals that strive for excellence and are highly motivated team players. The ideal candidate will have prior Food & Beverage experience in a luxury resort/hotel setting and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Server has direct contact with guests and as such, both excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills are crucial. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule with the ability to work morning/afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays as business requires. Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish. This position is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. What you will do: Assist in the set-up and service of Banquet functions under the direction of the Banquet Service Managers, and according to Four Seasons’ standards and procedures. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order. What you bring: We are looking for individuals that strive for excellence and are highly motivated team players. The ideal candidate will have prior Food & Beverage experience in a similar role and in a luxury resort/hotel setting. He or she must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
