At Emerald Stay, our Centralized Operations Team, based in sunny Barcelona, is the engine that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes for our guests. RESPONSIBILITIES You’ll be part of a small (but mighty!) team of 8, helping deliver top-tier hospitality from our head office. Think of it like running a hotel. Here’s a taste of what you’ll get involved in: FRONT & BACK OFFICE Managing communication with guests before, during and after their stay, via phone, chat or email. Managing our mailbox; your goal is Inbox Zero Liaising with guests so they complete their online check-in prior to arrival Handling check-ins and check-outs from our central office and coordinating with our on-the-ground staff Upselling and cross-selling Closing and sending the invoice to our guests at the end of their stay; collecting extra money if needed, liaising with them in case of damages Collecting feedback from guests to keep improving our services RESERVATIONS Controlling and managing reservations booked instantly in our Property Management System Preparing proposals for individuals and groups Closing and managing direct reservations CONCIERGE Arranging some extra services for our guests, such as airport transfers and at-home massages Coordinate and organize extra services with our partners and on-the-ground staff Handling the invoices for such extra services HOUSEKEEPING & MAINTENANCE Organize and coordinate cleaning with our different providers Communicate and coordinate maintenance issues with our on-the-ground staff Depending on the seasonality as well as your bandwidth, skills and interest, you may be involved with other aspects of our operations.     What's the job? As Food and Beverage Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the team, ensuring the service is on point and solving any issue reported by the team. Reports to the Food and Beverage Manager. Your day-to-day Support the Food & Beverage Manager in any required task. Manage beverage control including inventory, bar pars, costs controls, beverage potentials, mix of sales analysis for beverage, issue & returns and food standards. Implement agreed upon beverage policy and procedures throughout the property. Train staff on liquor control policies and procedures. Monitor adherence to all liquor control policies and procedures. Ensure Bar team provides excellent service and continually strives to exceed expectations. Ensure service and other standards according to SOPs are adhered to. Ensure cash handling procedures are followed and all stock items are managed. Ensure that the Bar team is continually trained in product knowledge, all menus and Hotel initiatives. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards. Oversee staff training and carry out on-the-job training where required. What we need from you Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field. Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management valuable. 2+ years' experience working in Food and Beverage department as supervisor. Must be fluent in local language and English, additional languages will be highly valuable. Proactive, positive, energetic, dynamic, emphatic, team-worker and with passion for service.     Maintain accurate records of items laundered. Verify that laundry requests are completed for each department. Replenish laundry supplies. Monitor levels in chemical containers to ensure chemicals are being dispensed and notify supervisor/manager of potential pump problem. Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
