CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Building Successful Relationships that Generate Sales Opportunities • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative. • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc. • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities. • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. • Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management. Managing Sales Activities • Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business. • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence). Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue • Identifies new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals. • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them. • Closes the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs. • Gains understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.     ROLE OVERVIEW As a Group Sales Executive, you will support the Group Sales Director and collaborate closely with the field sales team to convert enquiries into confirmed business. You will manage group enquiries from assigned geographic markets, maximizing rooms and banqueting revenue while ensuring a seamless handover to the Convention Services team. This role requires high energy, strong customer focus, and a passion for delivering the W experience. RESPONSABILITIES Sales & Client Management Conduct site inspections for prospective and tentative group bookings. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, meeting planners, corporate accounts, and organizations. Build and grow a dedicated client portfolio through ongoing direct sales efforts. Respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, ensuring excellent guest satisfaction. Collaborate with GSOs, Convention Bureaus, third‑party partners, and internal stakeholders to drive revenue. Target and achieve personal and hotel revenue goals. Negotiate contracts and use creative selling techniques to secure high‑value opportunities. Promote MI Leads (cross‑selling tool) and maintain strong knowledge of the Marriott Loyalty Program. Participate in sales trainings and departmental meetings. Reservations & Guest Services Process all reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations received by phone, email, or fax. Enter and update Marriott Bonvoy information in the appropriate systems. Handle guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns with professionalism. Process loyalty redemptions (e.g., points, vouchers, gift certificates). Determine and provide appropriate complimentary items as guest recognition. Promote and reinforce brand image during every guest interaction. Administrative & Office Support Perform general office duties: filing, emailing, typing, faxing, maintaining documentation. Assist Sales & Marketing with daily administrative tasks. Maintain accurate records across operational systems (Opera S&C, PMS, internal tools). Attend departmental and Marriott training sessions as required. Teamwork, Training & Professional Standards Support management in training and motivating employees; act as a role model. Foster positive working relationships and contribute to shared departmental goals. Monitor performance standards within the team when required. Communicate professionally, verbally and in writing. Conduct site inspections following established departmental standards. Demonstrate strong social judgment and awareness of body language. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education : High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Related Work Experience : At least 2 years of related work experience.     Desde CATALONIA HOTELS & RESORTS precisamos incorporar un/a COMERCIAL DE RESTAURANTE (25h) para trabajar en nuestro hotel BARCELONA PLAZA, ubicado en Plaza España (Barcelona). Las tareas principales son las siguientes: Aumentar las reservas en el restaurante. Ejecutar el calendario de acción del plan de marketing. Revisión y mantenimiento de materiales publicitarios del restaurante en diversas áreas del hotel (cartas, poster, flyers, tótems…). Supervisar que se respete la imagen corporativa del restaurante (uso del logo de manera correcta, plantillas, tipografías…). Actualización de contenidos en web propia y webs colaboradoras (ElTenedor, Tripadvisor, Atrapalo…). Control de gastos + pagos a proveedores (cajas regalo, El Tenedor…). Gestionar la satisfacción del cliente, tanto online (email "opinión express", responder comentarios según protocolo de respuesta…) como offline (entrega cupón a clientes satisfechos, resolución de quejas in situ…). Mantener al día la base de datos (recogida de datos y actualización en El Tenedor). Ejercer como nexo de unión entre restaurante y otras áreas de negocio del hotel (informar de novedades y solventar dudas de staff, recepción, etc.) y trabajar con ellos como equipo para conseguir objetivos. Reporte semanal / mensual de acciones realizadas (informe comercial y de marketing). Requisitos: Estudios en turismo / marketing /comercio/ RRPP. Experiencia: De 1 a 2 años en hosteleria/administrativo/a. Orientación al cliente. Inglés alto + valorable otros idiomas. Habilidad en redes sociales. Disponibilidad inmediata.
